I was born on February 16th, 1986 at 5:53am. Today I turned 24. I feel inclined to list something I’m grateful for according to every year that I’ve been alive:
- My mother and my two beautiful sisters
- My better half of a girlfriend/soulmate, April
- My three best friends: Aaron, Amanda & Andrew
- A steady job that pays all of my bills
- My healthy body and all working appendages
- The desire I have to be a father someday
- My obsessive compulsiveness to download/organize data
- The love I have for photography
- An appetite that never grows old for good sushi
- The theories I have for how LOST is going to end this season
- Getting a chance to travel as much as I did this last year
- Hot showers and running clean water at my house
- All Apple products, minus the iPad
- People who spay and neuter their pets
- Being a part of The Scene Aesthetic
- Being able to take my girlfriend to Forks, WA
- Living in one of the prettiest states in our country
- Taco Bell’s Volcano Burritos with extra Lava Sauce
- Documentary movies
- Kids with afros
- The fact that I can speak Spanish fluently
- Taking Aaron’s advice and starting The Sopranos
- A perfect steak dinner and someone to hold hands with
- Being alive; today
I want to thank every single person who wished me a happy birthday today. To be honest I didn’t deserve it; but I’m extremely grateful that you would take any amount of time out of your own day to congratulate me on making it a whole 24 years in this adventure that we’re all a part of and experiencing each day. I just hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief; because there will be so much to look forward to.
