I’ve been pretty MIA the last few months, so here’s a quick update :)
Early in the summer, I left on tour with The Scene Aesthetic. We played with The Ready Set, Forever The Sickest Kids, A Cursive Memory, and Phone Calls From Home. It was a great experience! Went to parts of the country I’d never been to before, met lots of new people, played great music. It was a blast. One of the best experiences of my life for sure!
In case you were unaware I run a recording studio, and this last year I have mainly been producing/mixing/engineering albums.
So that’s what I’ve been up to since I’ve been back.
I never expected to do this for a living, when I did start recording people/bands I figured it would mainly be a hobby. But now I do it pretty much full time.
Now it’s been almost a year, and I’ve got a lot of great music for everyone. I’ve worked with some amazing bands, met a lot of wonderful people, and I’d really like to be able to share that with the world!
I’m a pretty private person, and I rarely ask for help. But with this line of work, you kind of need it. I am very happy with the albums I’ve been able to produce, but it doesn’t mean much if the music doesn’t get out there into a lot of hands, and of course the right hands. I do not run a label, I do not have major label distribution, all I have to help out the bands I work with is some social networking and hopefully some friends helping out.
So what I am trying to say is, it would really mean a lot to myself, the bands, (and hopefully to other people out there who might appreciate this music) if anyone at all out there wanted to help share some of this music.
I’ll be posting (possibly today) clips of different songs I’ve produced, maybe some iTunes links.
I also will have a website soon that will show who I’ve worked with and let you hear what I’ve been up to.
Again, I don’t normally ask for help (I hate to inconvenience anyone, ever) but this isn’t about me, it’s about the good people I’ve gotten to work with, the wonderful music they wrote, and getting it into other peoples hands so that others can enjoy and appreciate it.
I’ve worked with everthing from pop punk to metal to christian worship to alternative to indie… etc. There’s something for everyone.
If there’s anyone out there that would like to help out in sharing some of this, whether it be sharing iTunes links or showing the albums or facebook pages or myspaces or music videos to your friends and family, anything and everything is appreciated!
